A Celebration of Life is a ceremony that honors and celebrates the life of a deceased loved one. Unlike traditional funerals, these gatherings focus on remembering and sharing happy memories, stories, and achievements of the person who has passed away. 

• Focus: Celebrations of Life emphasize positive memories and the joy the deceased brought to others' lives, while traditional funerals often have a more solemn tone.
• Format: These events are often more informal and flexible, allowing for personalized touches and creative elements.
• Venue: Celebrations of Life can be held in various locations such as parks, beaches, community centers, or private homes, unlike traditional funerals typically held in funeral homes or places of worship.

• Opening Remarks: A family member or close friend or an Om Shanti Master of Ceremony  may open the event with a welcome and a few words about the purpose of the gathering.
• Memories and Stories: Attendees are encouraged to share personal stories, memories, and anecdotes about the deceased.
• Music and Readings: There will be live music, poetry readings,  or recitations of meaningful texts. This is customizable and can reflect the individuals time with us on earth. 
• Visual Displays: Photos, videos, and other memorabilia might be displayed to highlight the the honoree's life journey.
• Ceremony: Interactive activities such as candle lighting, releasing & healing rituals, releasing balloons, or planting a tree can be included.
• Refreshments: Food and drinks are often served, providing a chance for guests to mingle and share further memories in celebration. This can be incorporated into the Celebration of Life package. 

Yes, we can include any religious or spiritual elements that were important to the deceased or the family. The format is highly customizable to reflect the individual’s beliefs and values.

We offer guidance and support to families navigating end-of-life care & healing, helping to coordinate memorial plans that align with hospice care schedules and the wishes of the individual and the families.
